We choose 'The Climb' as our song because it gives us confidence. It inspires us to face every obstacles in life. The youth now as I observe, we easily give up after the first try in every thing that comes to our life. The story of Maria Makiling brings people harm to this beloved mountain. It makes people positive about lives. Maria shows how to help poor people and she has a very good heart, she's willing to help the one's in need. It's really important to be helpful and be kind to others. She really serves a good example to us, especially to those who are hard-hearted people.
The Great Flood
The story tells me the beauty of the seas and oceans also the mountains. All of us likes to travel in every part of the world to discover new things. And to know want their culture is. So we must be careful and respectful what the culture they have. Here in our country there are many beautiful sceneries that we can enjoy. But there's a danger if we didn’t properly use it. We are the one who is responsible for resorting the beauty of our natural resources. Disaster may come if we make wrong things. Great Flood shows me that everything that we do whether it is good and bad, it has consequences to us. Like what happened to Tau-mari-u, because of what he did to Humitau his land was destroyed and covered by the flood and he suffered from the revenge of Aponi-tolau. But in the end his love for Humitau leads the story into a happy ending. We need to forget the things that cannot be undone and forgive people. But it doesn’t give them the license to do it again.
Ibalon
The story of Ibalon shows the concern and love for our homeland. The three heroes, Baltog, Handyong and Bantog do their own ways of showing their bravery in protecting the Ibalong. The story tells us to be Brave and have the determination to face all the struggles and challenges in life. Im willing to sacrifice myself and give all my efforts to help my family and other people in simple things. We can help other people by sharing our foods and etc. Someday I want to be a hero to my family, I will give all my love, care and efforts to them. I will not be a selfish person. Being a hero to my family is not that easy, but I can be if im willing to be.
Tungkung Langit at Alunsina
The story talks about how to hundle our anger and how we react in this kind of occurrence. Tungkung langit let his anger suppress him he almost hurt his wife. Until his wife decided to disappear. He realized everything in the end, he lost his wife because of his anger. Many people can’t control their anger. Sometimes, they tend to do bad things just to make a revenge. Anger is the most saddest feeling for me because it can be a major factor in making us feel terrible. I learned that anger is not the solution in our problems. We must keep calm in solving our problems. We will only regret or realize our mistakes after we lose something or someone we love.

I learned here not to overuse our efforts or not to give all your strength on something or someone who does not deserve our love and efforts.

Also, all these monsters that Sulayman and Indarapatra faced, can also be a figure that represents daily problems that must be resolved in the best ways possible. Problems can't just be flicked away or disregarded because later, can cause more trouble than it could have been in the start.

Ibalong is an epic that is all about Heroism. Shows that bravery and courage can carry out any problems faced. Shows how important it is to stand up for oneself and for all others. Shows integrity, cunningness, and cleverness. Integrity because the heroes all stood up fairly and for what is right. Cunningness because without this, the villains could have out smarted them. And cleverness because they used their skills and intelligence, out together with their bravery and courage to face and defeat the threats imposed on them and their people.

They were struck by lightning made by Languit which turns them into a ball. If you think you're smarter than other people, keep yourself humble. Rather, share your knowledge to others because helping brings you great joy and contentment.

Misunderstanding causes chaos. Don't be easily irritated and be carried away with your emotions that might lead to a wrongdoing. Like sometimes, you accidentally hurt other people physically or emotionally because of the little things that shouldn't be taken seriously. This story is great that talks about ego. Sometimes we can’t help ourselves if we are successful and become arrogant. The point is if we are successful, we should not invade others and be contented of what you have. Also we should not punish others if there are no evidence that the person has done something wrong like Bitoon, who was struck by lightning was innocent. Another thing is we also should not rush things or jump into conclusions and command people like Maisog who prays to a whale. We should always find out what things really are and not jump into conclusion.

This story makes me sad because I have a bit similarity to Aponi-tolau.The lesson in this story is we should not get angry easily like Aponi-tolau. We should control our temper otherwise a quarrel will begin. We should also be kind and nice and we are in another man’s home. Also if a friend has done something wrong, we should not defend them because crimes should pay. So if we have done something wrong, we should always apologize and ask for forgiveness. We should face the consequences otherwise there is no justice to the victims. Also we should always make sure that what we are doing are not affecting others like Aponi-tolau actions cause the dwellers of the land punished by Tau-mari-u.

This story kind of make me sad and happy at the same time because I already experienced courting a girl. The theme is here is jealousy. Sometimes people can’t control emotions they can become dangerous and attack happy couples. This story shows that some girls are not interested whether you are rich, handsome, athletic or smart. Girls are attracted to kind and heroic boys. That is why Magayon falls in love Panganoron who save her life. It also shows that love is so powerful that some people risk their lives just to have their love ones by their side.

This epic is a good story for people that are courting girls. The lesson in this story is if the girl we are courting don’t love us, we should accept it. We should always be happy for the girls we love and not get obsessed with them. We should always wish them a happy life and not plot revenge because it is wrong and there will always be consequences. Jealousy is always going to be a danger in your life. We should always learn how to let go. Also revenge does not make us happy, it makes more miserable like Captain Lara and Joselito.

This story makes me think before doing something that can change my life. In this story, it tells us that we should always have trust on someone we love, otherwise there will be consequences. We should also respect the privacy of our love ones. And if your love ones have done something wrong to you, we should always forgive them and control our temper or else we will regret it forever just like Tungkung Langit. Even though he made efforts to attempt in convincing Alunsina to come back, she never returned.

This story inspired me to be brave and helpful. The lesson in this story is we should help others of someone in need like how Indarapatra and Sulayman help the people of Mindanao by killing the monsters that have destroyed their land. Also if someone is bullying you, we should learn to stand up for ourselves and not let them do what they want to do unto us and just ignore them like Indarapatra and Sulayman did to the monsters. Also if we help someone we feel happiness to the point that we feel that we are rewarded of happy thoughts.

This story helps me make wiser. It is good in many ways. What I learned from this story is that I should always be brave if someone is bullying me and stand up to the bully. This story is great that talks about ego. Sometimes we can’t help ourselves if we are successful and become arrogant. The point is if we are successful, we should not invade others and be contented of what you have. Also we should not punish others if there are no evidence that the person has done something wrong like Bitoon, who was struck by lightning was innocent. Another thing is we also should not rush things or jump into conclusions and command people like Maisog who prays to a whale. We should always find out what things really are and not jump into conclusion.
The Great Flood
This story makes me sad because I have a bit similarity to Aponi-tolau.The lesson in this story is we should not get angry easily like Aponi-tolau. We should control our temper otherwise a quarrel will begin. We should also be kind and nice and we are in another man’s home. Also if a friend has done something wrong, we should not defend them because crimes should pay. So if we have done something wrong, we should always apologize and ask for forgiveness. We should face the consequences otherwise there is no justice to the victims. Also we should always make sure that what we are doing are not affecting others like Aponi-tolau actions cause the dwellers of the land punished by Tau-mari-u.
The Legend of Mayon Volcano
This story kind of make me sad and happy at the same time because I already experienced courting a girl. The theme is here is jealousy. Sometimes people can’t control emotions they can become dangerous and attack happy couples. This story shows that some girls are not interested whether you are rich, handsome, athletic or smart. Girls are attracted to kind and heroic boys. That is why Magayon falls in love Panganoron who save her life. It also shows that love is so powerful that some people risk their lives just to have their love ones by their side.
The Legend of Maria Makiling
This epic is a good story for people that are courting girls. The lesson in this story is if the girl we are courting don’t love us, we should accept it. We should always be happy for the girls we love and not get obsessed with them. We should always wish them a happy life and not plot revenge because it is wrong and there will always be consequences. Jealousy is always going to be a danger in your life. We should always learn how to let go. Also revenge does not make us happy, it makes more miserable like Captain Lara and Joselito.
Tunkung Langit and Alunsina
This story makes me think before doing something that can change my life. In this story, it tells us that we should always have trust on someone we love, otherwise there will be consequences. We should also respect the privacy of our love ones. And if your love ones have done something wrong to you, we should always forgive them and control our temper or else we will regret it forever just like Tungkung Langit. Even though he made efforts to attempt in convincing Alunsina to come back, she never returned.
Indarapatra and Sulayman
This story inspired me to be brave and helpful. The lesson in this story is we should help others of someone in need like how Indarapatra and Sulayman help the people of Mindanao by killing the monsters that have destroyed their land. Also if someone is bullying you, we should learn to stand up for ourselves and not let them do what they want to do unto us and just ignore them like Indarapatra and Sulayman did to the monsters. Also if we help someone we feel happiness to the point that we feel that we are rewarded of happy thoughts.
Ibalon
This story helps me make wiser. It is good in many ways. What I learned from this story is that I should always be brave if someone is bullying me and stand up to the bully. The epic of Indarapatra at Sulayman is one beautiful story. It tells about monsters killing and eating people. This story tells about bravery of the brothers in order to help the people from not being eaten by monsters. Like us people, we help each other when there is crisis and calamities. Like Indarapatra and Sulayman, we value lives and helps the people that are in needs by giving them love, food, clothing and others the best we can. We value the traits of bravery and helping because this what makes us a true Filipino.

Fighting for the welfare of other people and believing in yourself is what the story convey. Indarapatra and Sulayman can be concluded as a great hero of Maguindanao. They offer their life for the sake of taking back the peaceful living of the community. This is what the youth must inherent. The readiness and having the capability to fight for the country. Hindrances are easy to deal with if we have perseverance and trust to ourselves that we can make a big change. Like Indarapatra and Sulayman, they started in a hard situation but later on they get their happiness in life. We, as a person and part of the community can make it even though we are experiencing problems but this is a challenge to be faced and solved. Sooner we can harvest the fruit of success just like the story ends. Fight for the good ones and think always that we can, to have confidence that we can conquer all.

The Creation of the World, a philippine literature talks about selfishness and greediness of Daga for the power he wants to have. It is a bad way of doing of getting more of what you have, being not contented that somehow your action can destroy everything. Consequences always follow, we must think before we act. Fame is not too important to a person who are contented of his/her existence. Just to have a happy family and have a descent standard of living is enough. Doing good things can make a good result not just for yourself but for others. Being greedy can mold you as a bad person, just be determined enough to make your life more colorful for your own sake.

The Bicol Epic, Ibalon talks about bravery and courage. It portrays the love of his country that they offer themselves just to kill their enemies who are tend to destroy their living. Nowadays, the people must possess bravery to defend thier ownselves to some uncertainties happening to their lives. We dont know what is our destiny is, we must be ready for the instances that may occur. Courage is important to have so that it will lead you to a better person that you can stand with your own during difficulties.

Revenge is not the key to defend things, there are ways that should be done to have a better outcome. Also, we must not easily judge people if we really dont know what is happening. If you want to have a happy ending with your loveone, you must have trust to his/her that you can undergo whatever difficulties in life might happen. On the contary, I am unfavor with the decision of alunsina that she didnt go back to tungkung langit. Because I believe that if you love someone you will go back to him/her and forgive all the issue caused by the seperation happen. Indeed, you will both live happy, sharing love and have trust to each other.
