Also, envy should not over power one's being. If we always envy what other's have, we will never be content which might lead to making bad decisions to attain what we envy.

You will never find true happiness when you're not contented with what you have. God will provide what we need and not fow just what we want. One must be satisfied for what he has given to him/ her. I like to quote this song from simple living by Keith and Kristine Getty:

We should control our anger so that we cannot commit a mistake. We must not let our anger get the best of us. Don't get our anger control ou hearts to stop hurting other people.

The story helps remind us of how generosity and selflessness can affect people's lives even in the smallest of ways. Maria Makiling shows up when people in the forest are in need of her. She also helps without their consent or knowing. This kind of behavior shows us that when we help, we must do so whole heartedly. We must help without expecting help also in return. We must help just for the good of the people in need. Selflessness can do more good to so many, including oneself.
Indarapatra at Sulayman
It shows leadership, heroic attributes, and love for country or patriotism. Leadership because Indarapatra knew what to do in order to protect his land. He only had in mind the safety of his people. Heroic attributes because Sulayman was ready to die for his country. He selflessly sacrificed himself for the better and safety of others. Patriotism is shown because all their actions were sourced from their love for their people and home. All a result to protect and keep their land from danger that can disrupt their peace. Also, all these monsters that Sulayman and Indarapatra faced, can also be a figure that represents daily problems that must be resolved in the best ways possible. Problems can't just be flicked away or disregarded because later, can cause more trouble than it could have been in the start.
Ibalong
Ibalong is an epic that is all about Heroism. Shows that bravery and courage can carry out any problems faced. Shows how important it is to stand up for oneself and for all others. Shows integrity, cunningness, and cleverness. Integrity because the heroes all stood up fairly and for what is right. Cunningness because without this, the villains could have out smarted them. And cleverness because they used their skills and intelligence, out together with their bravery and courage to face and defeat the threats imposed on them and their people.
